October 31, 1969 a soldier was born "Omar Hakeem Taylor" to Valen A. Taylor and the late Mr. Charles Herring. Later on in life Omar officially changed his name to
"OMARI ATIBA AL'SINCERE"
He departed this life January 29, 2010 at Beth Isreal Hospital Newark, NJ.
OMARI grew up the protector of his family. Better known to his Mom as "Mookie" Sharing and caring for his Mom and two younger brothers Rahaman and Rashan.
Very early in life Omari discovered his artistic abilities and the love for poetry. In 1999 Omari wrote several poems such as "REASON/ING" and "SOUL WAR".
OMARI attended East Orange and Orange public school system. However, later in life he obtained his GED.
In 2001 OMARI had his first child ASSATA KAMAU AL'SINCERE.
In 2004 OMARI met Yolanda Ayodele his life long partner. Through this union one son was born, given his name as well..Omari Atiba Al'Sincere. However Omari was the father of three additional children, Raymond, Al'khabir, and Quadir.
OMARI leaves to cherish his precious memories; his wife Yolanda Ayodele, one daughter Assata four sons, Omari, Raymond, Al'khabir, and Quadir, his mother Valen Williams, his father Larry Cobb (Gwendolyn) three brothers Rahaman Cobb (Veronica), Rashan Cobb(Lawanda) and D'mond Mathieu one sister Myesha Cobb his Maternal Grandmother Grace Barnes his Maternal grandfather Joe L. Daughtridge his faternal Grandfather Robert Cobb. Four nieces Amiyah, Rahmani, Porche', and Janeese three nephews Jeremy, Rajuan and Isaiah. Seven aunts Romain Harris (Ronald) Joann Rhodes (James) Theresa Meadows (Todd) Shirley Herring, Justina, Linda Cobb and Rosalnd Barkley. Four Uncles Preston Owens, James Owens, Roosevelt Owens, and Ronald Daughtridge his Godmother Etta Van Williams. While this is OMARI's immediate family Omari is also survived by many Great Aunts, cousins extended family members and very special friends.
