Belvin Ann "Bevalan" Welfare Hargrove was born on October 16, 1967, to the late Edgar Welfare and Bertha Fludd Welfare in Norwalk, Connecticut. She departed this life on February 1, 2010, at Duke Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
She was educated in Newark, New Jersey Public Schools. Belvin was employed with Maxim Healthcare as a Home Health Aid for several years. Later, she moved to North Carolina, where she worked at Jones Apparel.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Fludd.
Belvin leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Keith Hargrove of the home; two daughters, Shantia Welfare of Oxford, NC and Jaquetta Welfare (Tyrell) of Henderson, NC; three sons, Marcel Welfare, Kareem Welfare and Saleem Welfare all of Henderson, NC; four grandchildren, Na'klyah, Ka'nigah, Marlaysha and Tyrell, Jr.; three sisters, Carolyn Welfare of Norwalk, CT; one brother, Joseph Fludd of Newark, NJ; mother-in-law, Christine Hargrove; godmother, Leonice Allen; sister-in-law, Julia Lemay; brothers-in-law, Dennis Lemay, Rollin Chester Steed, Doreatha Steed, Timothy Hargrove and Barbara Hargrove; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends.
