Ernest "Ernie" Spears was born on March 26, 1932 in Newark, New Jersey to Ruby and Walter Spears. He departed this life on March 3, 2010.
He attended the Newark Public School system. He was part of the Performing Arts. He was a Boxer and Artist.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Francis Spears.
Ernest leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Constance; four children, Derrick, Kevin and Dwight Spears and Denise Freeman; step-children, Dr. Sharese Dawes, Jemal Johnson and Sterling and Derilyn Wise; grandchildren, Rasheeda and Sarida Freeman, Shonda and Kevin Downey, Ebony Baker, Abdul Spears and Derrick Spears Jr.; step-grandchildren, Madison and Wayne Dawes Jr.; sister-in-law, Rose Spears; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
