Edward Emanuel Clarke was born on September 3, 1923 in Chapel Lane, St Michael in the island of Barbados. He departed this life on March 6, 2010 at age 86.

Known to love ones as simply "Eddie", he is predeceased in death by his mother Gladys Clarke, and wife Rena Brown-Clarke.

"Eddie" attended primary school in the parish of Bridgetown, Barbados. As a young man he became a merchant seaman, and traveled all around the world. He later moved to the United Stated where he became a citizen of the country and resided in Newark, NJ. In the later years he became a lead chauffer to Judge Golden E. Johnson of Essex County who he served for many years.

Eddie loved his family and friends very much, and was a host to all who entered his home. Eddie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior early in his life. He enjoyed good times, and great music. He will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his "daughter", Coral Taylor-Wickham; nephew, Timothy Mason; granddaughters, Aimee Fraser and Patrice Wickham; grandson, Steven Hall; great grandson, Steven Hall Jr.; special friends, Lemuel Wickham, Pedro Alleyne, Velda Fonte-Morris, Cherryl Faulke, Gloria Muhammed, Marlon Burnett , Marlyn Watson, Miss Gemini, Miss Kay and Mr & Mrs Nigel Grant; and a host of family and friends.
