Mary Lizza Hubbard, daughter of John and Doris Harris was born July 3, 1946 at Harlem Hospital in New York City.

A few years after graduating from Clara Barton High School, she married her one and true love, John Lee Hubbard. After getting married, she later went to nursing school where she graduated and further developed her love for taking care of people. After raising two children in New York City, she and her husband later relocated to New Jersey where she had her third child.

Before starting a career as a home health aide, she went to Wilfred Academy where she enhanced her ability to do hair. To further her career in assisting others, Mary Hubbard became a Chrill Home Health Aide. within 3 years of being hired, she received Home Health Aide of the Month and Home Health Aide of the Year awards. She continued to dedicate her life to helping others even after going through many health challenges of her own.

As a mother, she was her children*s "everything". She made them laugh even when they wanted to cry about the roughest situations. She taught her children the importance of putting God first.

As a sister, aunt, cousin and friend, she was a genuine person that one would always be able to confide in. Although she has gone home to be with the Lord- to her prepared place, her memory will live on in the hearts of all whose path she has crossed.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Towanna Hubbard and Saudia Ransom; one son, Alterras Hubbard; one son-in-law, Michael Ransom Sr.; two sisters, Johnnie R. Broadus and Ruby Bostick; one brother, David Harris; six sister-in-laws, Shirley Harris, Willie Lou Bray, Hattie Kindle, Annie McCrimmon, Catherine Dowell and Shirley Hubbard; four brother-in-laws, Earl Bostick, Marvin Kindle, Lonnie Hubbard, and MacArthur Hubbard; six grandchildren, Anthony Hubbard, Linda Hubbard, Dashawn Hubbard, Ariyana Ransom, Michael Ransom Jr., and Jaylen Ransom; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
