Burriel Henry McCargo, age 82 was born January 11, 1929 to the late Virginia Brooks and John McCargo in Clover, Virginia. He entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2011.

Burriel aka "Money" (to his friends) and "the Pop Pop" (to his family). After 27 years of service, he retired as a Longshoreman, and early in the morning as he got up and woke up the rest of the house, you wouldn*t believe he never missed a day of work.
Burriel loved to remind you that he had been in *Uncle Sam*s Army* and the *Rupess man you eber seen!* it wasn*t until we all got older that we realized he was saying he was the *Roughest man you ever seen!* but that was Burriel. He kept you on your toes and wondering with everything he said. He loved talking junk and loved it even more if you talked junk back. He loved gathering with family and friends, and most of all he loved to reminisce.

Burriel was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth McCargo and a daughter, Cheryl McCargo.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving daughter, Jeannette McCargo (Otis Smith) of Newark, NJ; his loving son, Kenneth McCargo (Barbara Carter) of Elizabeth, NJ; seven grandchildren, Keisha McGee (Derek McGee), Kersundra (Thurman Hobbs), Aleisha, Kenneth Jr., Crystal and Najee McCargo and Keith Cunningham all of Newark, NJ; four great grandchildren, Karaan, Shakilah and Haniyah McCargo and Sharod Keith Martin Cunningham of Newark, NJ; brother, Columbus McCargo of Newark, NJ; three sisters, Mattie Thompson of East Orange, NJ, Eddie McCargo of DC and Virginia Barkpale of VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, medical staff at the VA Hospital in East Orange, NJ, as well as other relatives and friends.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his two special friends, Ms. Arlene and Mr. Emmanuel; and Nurse Yarely Coss. The family would like to give these people great thanks for their unlimited support, dedication, time, and concern, he always considered you all very special to him!
